Registrations are now open for our inaugural Plant Biosecurity Research Symposium.
The two-day event will be held on 15 – 16 August, 2019 at The Edge, State Library of Queensland, Brisbane.
We will hear from our growers and industry representatives on lessons learnt during biosecurity incursions and how we can better prepare using the best available RD&E.
The symposium will also showcase current plant biosecurity research supported by the PBRI member organisations, including research on pests, diseases and weeds affecting plant productions systems and surrounding environments.
The draft program includes keynote speakers, nominated presentations from research teams, a cocktail dinner and a panel discussion on future priorities for RD&E.
The program also includes a trans-Tasman session where we will hear from our New Zealand colleagues, working on common biosecurity threats.
A dedicated session on future biosecurity leaders will include presentations from up-and-coming leaders studying or working in the field of biosecurity.
We invite interested growers, industry representatives, researchers, students and biosecurity staff to register for this two-day event.
Our registration places are limited, so please book early – register here.
We look forward to seeing you at this event.
